The starting point
Most electric pickups put a passenger-car powertrain into a pickup shell. TERRAFORCE fixed the frame, the payload and the duty cycle first, then worked backwards to the powertrain. That is why the pack sits inside the ladder frame rather than hanging beneath it — better weight distribution and more genuine impact protection.
Why Zambia
Zambian roads and power conditions are exactly where an electric work vehicle earns its place: daily distances are predictable, there is a fixed site to charge at, and diesel pricing and supply are both unstable. At the same time, low rural electrification means the vehicle assumes no fast-charging network — which is why the onboard charger is designed around an ordinary domestic circuit.
What we do not do
We do not claim the vehicle suits every use case. If your daily distance exceeds 400 km with no reliable charging en route, a diesel vehicle is still the better answer today. We will tell a customer that directly.
